PARAGON
MASTERPIECE

Project Length: 12 Months

Platform: PC / Console

Status: Shipped

Overview

The Paragon Masterpiece was Rainbow Six Siege's first premium animated cosmetic bundle of its kind, introducing several new customization and presentation features into the existing ecosystem.

THE
CHALLENGE

Create a new premium cosmetic bundle experience that felt distinct from existing bundles while integrating seamlessly into Siege's established customization and store experiences.

WHAT I WORKED ON

Re-evaluated the Product Page layout to better accommodate new content type, rarity information, tags, and bundle details.

The updated layout improved visual hierarchy and helped players quickly understand the value and contents of the bundle.

Advocated a dedicated View Bundle Content experience, allowing players to browse a complete catalog of bundle items. This provided greater transparency and gave players access to 3D previews that were not traditionally available through standard store presentations.

Designed a new presentation area for Masterpiece weapons, creating a dedicated space for premium content to stand out. This solution supported the introduction of exclusive Masterpiece specific features while remaining consistent with existing shop patterns.

Designed a new presentation area for previewing Masterpiece weapon animations, including inspect, idle, and reload animations directly from the store.

Established a unique visual layout and hierarchy for Paragon bundles.

With this, players could immediately recognize Paragon content as a premium offering while maintaining consistency with the existing Elite bundle ecosystem.

Created a flexible content framework for the showcase ribbon. The framework prioritized premium Masterpiece weapons and animated cosmetics, ensuring the most valuable content received increased visibility and effectively communicated the bundle's unique value proposition.

Learnings:

This project taught me how to navigate the complexity of designing for a live-service game with many stakeholders, technical constraints, and established player expectations. I learned the importance of creating alignment early, advocating for the player experience, and balancing innovation with consistency across an existing ecosystem.
